With Destiny 2, Bungie Should Build On The First Game’s Content and Mechanics, Instead Of Resetting The Wheel

Giving us the game we should have gotten the first time around.

Look,Destiny 2 will come– we know it’s not coming this year (we’re probably getting another expansion this year instead), but it is definitely in the works. Destiny is one of the most successful games of this generation- and there is no way that Activision and Bungie will not build upon that success.

One thing that Bungie need to do with it when it launches, however, is to not reset everything- instead, they should take everything that is in the original Destiny game at the time of Destiny 2‘s launch, and include it all in Destiny 2plus add Destiny 2 exclusive content, too.

Now, by this, I don’t mean that Destiny 1‘s single player missions should make it into Destiny 2– instead, I am talking about the various Raids, Strikes, Crucible maps, weapons and gear, and so on. All of that, plus all the improvements that have been made to the otherwise very rough game that launched in 2014, in the multitudes of updates since then, should be included in Destiny 2. Put simply- have all the content that Destiny 1 hasplus the end game and loot systems brought by the April update. Now build on that with more new content and expansions.

You will have the game that Bungie should have launched to begin with- by doing something like this, Bungie will ensure that Destiny 2 does not have the kind of rough launch that the original Destiny did.
