Xbox 360 and Xbox One Games May Be Playable on Windows 10 Soon- Rumor

This would be awesome.

Xbox One Streaming to Windows 10

Microsoft may be continuing on with their unification of Xbox and Windows to make one consolidated gaming ecosystem- if this rumor is true, it sounds like your Xbox 360 and Xbox One games may be playable on PCs with Windows 10 very soon. What’s more, apparently, they will be supporting Cross Buy, too.

The leak has been brought to attention by Polygon, as well as by a tipster on Twitter. Polygon noted further details that were leaked by their source.

“Each game has a store page listing Windows 10 as a system requirement and list them as ‘Currently unavailable’ [on the Windows Store on PC] when I click the ‘Install’ button,” the tipster wrote. “Some games specify different graphic card requirements. They appear in the Works On This Device section on the Library page on the Windows Store.” Apparently, the games are currently showing up in their account with “all DLCs and everything” that they bought on the Xbox Store.

If this is true, this could be a big announcement- almost as big as their announcement of backwards compatibility last year. Of course, whether this would be limited to just Microsoft’s own efforts, or whether like with backwards compatibility, this is a program that third parties will join in on, remains to be seen.

Microsoft’s E3 show begins in a little over an hour, and the PC Gaming Show shortly after that. This announcement could be made at either of those.
