Warner Bros. Commits To Supporting The Nintendo NX

"Supporting them is not a question for us."

One of the most ardent third party supporters of the Wii U was Warner Bros.- they brought multiple games of theirs to the system, at launch and long after, continuing to push titles out for it even when other third parties had departed for greener pastures.

On the one hand, you would assume that that would mean that Warner Bros. would be willing to take a chance on the upcoming Nintendo NX, too. On the other, you might also assume that they were burned badly enough on the Wii U that they would be in two minds about supporting Nintendo.

But any fears like that can be put to rest. Speaking to VentureBeat, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment’s President David Haddad spoke about their support for the Xbox One Scorpio and the NX, noting that there was no question of them not supporting these two new consoles.

“We have great relationships with all the console platforms,” Haddad said. “We believe we play a role in each of them. What I saw with the announcements that were made at the show – I’m fairly bullish about the console cycle, about gamers spending time on them and finding great content, about publishers being able to find returns on increasing investments in that space. We’re constantly deciding how to navigate that, but supporting them is not a question for us.”

This makes Warner Bros. just the latest third party to throw in their hat for Nintendo- other third parties have included Ubisoft, Activision, Take-Two, Capcom, Bandai Namco, Square Enix, and Spike Chunsoft. Whatever Nintendo have in the works this time, it seems as though enough people are excited for it.
