Team Ninja’s Nioh will be seeing its second playable demo on the PlayStation Store from August 23rd to September 6th. Unlike the first demo which was an alpha, this demo will be a beta that features a new dojo stage for training and as of yet unannounced stage.

Chin Soon Sun, community Manager for Koei Tecmo Europe, also revealed on the PlayStation Blog that there would be some new katana, hammers and axes available to cater to one’s play style (and also teased players being able to acquire some new weapons).

Nioh is slated to release on PS4 this year and follows a more realistic hack and slash style of gameplay similar to Dark Souls. It sees William Adams traveling through Japan and battling the Yokai while gaining allies, including Ginchiyo Tachibana who will add her own skills to the mix (in what way has been unconfirmed till now).
