Bungie has begun streaming multiplayer footage for Destiny’s Rise of Iron, showcasing the new Supremacy mode (essentially Kill Confirmed from Call of Duty). However, it also announced that Private Matches would be introduced with the new expansion.

With Private Matches, players can essentially set the game type, the map, score limit, time limit, Light level and even time of day. Players can invite their friends and compete in various matches without having to worry about Bungie’s matchmaking. It’s even possible to start matches by yourself.

How will Private Matches affect XP and loot drops? We’ll find out in the coming days. Clans will also play a part in all this and you can find out more here.

Rise of Iron will also introduce three new maps for the Crucible along with a PlayStation 4-exclusive map Icarus set on Mercury. The expansion is out on September 20th for Xbox One and PS4. Check out the latest ViDoc below to learn even more about all the new gear, weapons, ornaments and even sneak a peek at the new raid, Wrath of the Machine.

Update: It’s been confirmed that while Supremacy is exclusive to Rise of Iron, Private Matches will be available to all players on Xbox One and PS4.
