Gears of War 4 is one of this year’s most anticipated games and as of today has gone gold for the Xbox One and PC. The announcement was made immediately after the release of the launch trailer for Gears of War 4. In fact this was such a momentous occasion that Microsoft’s board of directors flew to Vancouver Canada to celebrate the big moment with Phil Spencer.

Gears of War 4 is the  fifth installment in the Gears of War series and it is the first entry not to be developed by Epic Games. Gears of War 4 launches worldwide on October 11th 2016 on Xbox One and PC. In related news, Gears of War 4 PC won’t support HDR at launch, however the platform will support split screen co-op.
