Gears of War 4 is a third-person shooter that is developed by The Coalition and published for Windows 10 and Xbox One by Microsoft.
The game is a continuation of the long-running Gears of War series and serves as a direct sequel to the events portrayed in Gears of War 3.
Giant Bomb's Jeff Grubb says it's "definitely under consideration" and corroborates Microsoft allegedly revealing its first-party plan this month.
The Academy Award-nominated screenwriter has previously also worked on movies such as Prometheus, Passengers, and more.
Cliff Bleszinski, who led the original Gears of War trilogy, says he was considering making the next game first person before Microsoft acquired the IP.
