Gears of War 4-3

It’s probably easy to forget, given how common the gimmick is these days, but the original Gears of War game, back in 2006, was gloriously, awesomely, disturbingly, distressingly bloody, gory, and brutal. The violence was spectacular and over the top, and how far it went was only limited by how far you as a player wanted to go.

The spirit of that brutality looks like it’s going to make it over wholesale into Gears of War 4, when that launches later this year exclusively on the Xbox One. Today, The Coalition’s Rod Fergusson posted a new short gameplay tease on Vine- which means it’s not too long, and we don’t get to see much. What we do see, however, is a work of art as far as brutality and bloodiness go. You can check the Vine out below.

Gears of War 4 is slated to launch exclusively on the Xbox One on October 11.
