The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 will receive its launch trailer today at 6 AM PST/9 AM EST but a short teaser for the same is available on the game’s official Twitter. It features Kait, one of the prime characters, in a bad way against the Swarm. Check it out below.
Gears of War 4 will take place several years into the future and focuses on JD Fenix, son of Marcus Fenix. The latter makes an appearance in-game but it’s all about JD’s journey in the remnants of society and fighting a new powerful foe called the Swarm. Thus far, the game has impressed us with its cover-based gameplay and environmental design. Will it succeed in delivering that trademark Gears of War magic?
We’ll find out for ourselves when Gears of War 4 launches on October 11th for Xbox One and Windows. Xbox Play Anywhere is supported which means you can buy one version digitally (say on Xbox One) and receive the other for free. All progress will also carry over, allowing you to play between platforms as you’d like.
