Xbox One Exclusive Gears of War 4 Will Run At 1080p, Windows 10 Version Possible

'A Windows 10 version is 'possible.'

Gears of War 4

If the resolution war still matters to you (and I know there’s a lot of you out there who like counting your pixels), then the good news is, the upcoming Xbox One exclusive Gears of War 4 will probably be bliss for you, as it has been confirmed to be running at 1080p. Given that Gears games usually are among the best lookers on the market at the time of their release, Gears 4 may end up as one of the most technically impressive games around all said and done.

Speaking to Game Informer, Rod Fergusson from The Coalition confirmed that Gears 4 will run at 1080p and 30fps for the campaign, switching over to the far more attractive 60fps for the multiplayer (which seems to be the opposite of how Uncharted 4 is approaching it). He also discussed a PC version for the game, not committing to it, but saying that a Windows 10 version is ‘possible.’

Gears of War 4 is due out exclusively on Xbox One (for now…) by the end of this year.
