The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 can now be pre-loaded on Xbox One for those who own a digital copy of the game. Make sure you have enough hard disk space though – 54.6 GB of free space will be required.
As for PC users, the PC pre-load is still “coming soon” according to The Coalition’s Twitter. As for when that will be, it’s not yet known. The pre-load for both versions should be coming before October 7th though since that’s the same day that Ultimate Edition users will have early access before launch.
Gears of War 4 will be out on October 11th for Xbox One and Windows 10 and will support the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative. This means that gamers across both platforms can play with each other and you can continue progress from one platform to another. Purchasing the digital version on one platform will also grant you a free copy on the other platform.
