Gears of War

Gears of War 4’s public beta will start early next year, in Spring 2016, according to the fine print on Gears of War: Ultimate Edition’s website. The beta will be included to everyone who purchases a copy of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition when it launches this August, just as long as they log in to Xbox Live and play “Gears of War: Ultimate Edition” by March 1 of 2016.

Gears of War 4 (as well as Gears of War Ultimate Edition) was revealed by Microsoft and The Coalition at their E3 press conference; representing the first Gears of War game being fully developed by Microsoft, with no input from Epic, it represents a new era for the series, both, in terms of narrative, as well as mechanics. Fans will no doubt want to get an early feel for the game, so this beta should probably be good news for them.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition launches this August for the Xbox One and PC; Gears of War 4 will hit the Xbox One Holiday 2016.
