Gears of War 4 is a still a while away—the first Gears title not developed by Epic is slated to drop later this year, in October. Nevertheless, Microsoft released a new batch of hi-resolution screenshots and concept art from the game’s single-player campaign.
Gears of War 4 targets a 60 FPS update for multiplayer on the Xbox One and 30 FPS for its single player component. Substantial visual compromises are the tradeoff for a silky smooth response in multiplayer. This batch of screens, however, shows off the campaign, where The Coalition have gone all-out on the visual front—the Unreal 4 engine is allowed to stretch its legs and the results are nothing short of incredible.
Also, while a Windows 10 port of Gears of War 4 has been all but confirmed, the gameplay screenshots here were captured at nearly 4K, suggesting that a PC version with support for higher resolutions and better visuals is in the pipeline. What do you think about these new screens? Let us know!
