The first trailer for The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 is now available. Labelled “Tomorrow”, it’s a simple cinematic trailer which shows the contrast in protagonist JD Fenix’s childhood – spent with his father Marcus Fenix and mother Anya – and his current predicament. Things aren’t good in the future, to say the least.
Gears of War 4 takes place several years after the events of the third game. The world has become more tightly wound up after the destruction of the Locust but is now under threat by a new enemy called the Swarm. If that weren’t enough, the Coalition of Governments is keeping its people under high security and walled off cities, not allowing them to venture into the wilderness. JD Fenix’s journey takes place over 24 hours in Gears of War 4 and shenanigans inevitably ensue.
Gears of War 4 is out on March 11th for Xbox One. The beta begins on April 18th for those who played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and April 24th for Xbox Live Gold subscribers.
