Mass Effect Andromeda May Already Be In QA Stage

Another bug bites the dust.

Mass Effect Andromeda

Although we have not yet seen a whole lot of Mass Effect Andromeda, it seems as though development on the game may be progressing on schedule. The game may, in fact, be on track to meet its March 2017 release deadline. In a series of tweets posted by Bioware developers, it is heavily being implied that the game has already entered QA.

“Another bug bites the dust, and another one gone, and another one gone, another twenty-one bite the dust,” said Bioware’s Jos, referencing the famous Queen song while presumably slyly implying that bugs in the game’s code are now being hunted and scoped out.

In an exchange with a fan, Bioware’s Michael Gamble also referenced QA and bug triage, also noting that the game is apparently in the stage where parts that don’t work are either being tossed, or fixed. “Normally a producer or creative director decides which to fix, which to toss, which to put more urgency on.”

So, it sounds like Mass Effect Andromeda may in fact hit its Q1 2017 release date. If so, I still don’t understand why Bioware and EA have so steadfastly refused to show us anything of substance or meaning so far.
