Star Wars Battlefront VR Experience Is Worth Bragging About, Says Sony Exec

One of the many AAA gaming experiences that will be exclusive to PlayStation VR – at least at first, anyway – will be Star Wars Battlefront. A brand new VR mission will be made for Battlefront, and made available to all existing Battlefront owners on PS4, for absolutely free.

Star Wars in VR sounds like it’d be an excellent experience. And apparently, PlayStation Network Senior VP Eric Lempel thinks so too. Posting on the PlayStation Blog, he gushed about the upcoming mission, which will be used extensively to promote PlayStation VR’s launch, which is later this week.

“Among the holiday lineup [for PSVR] is one of the most incredible gaming experiences ever conceived — the opportunity to battle against the evil Empire in an X-wing fighter in VR.” After adding that “an iconic experience like this is worth bragging about,” Lempel said.
