The Nintendo Switch was revealed yesterday, and so far, we like it. Third parties definitely seem to like it. And also, it seems, Nintendo’s competitors like it. When asked on Twitter what he felt about the Switch, Xbox head Phil Spencer was very positive about it, noting that he was very impressed by Nintendo’s ‘bold vision.’

“I’m always impressed with their ability to state a bold vision and build a product that delivers on that vision,” he said.

Microsoft’s head of marketing for Xbox Aaron Greenberg was also very bullish on the reveal. “Congrats to my friends Nintendo on the unveil today. Love seeing new innovation in our industry, Switch looks like fun!” he said.

Microsoft, of course, have been very complimentary of competing products, including PlayStation, before, so this is not new coming from them. It’s good to see, too, that they are so supportive of a new product that seems to be truly bold and fresh, and unlike anything else on the market.
