Pretty much the same as always.

The latest Famitsu Weekly chart for the most anticipated games in Japan is now available, and things seem to be pretty much unchanged and static from the last time we covered it.  Final Fantasy 15 still has a thoroughly convincing lead over everything else on the chart, Pokemon Sun/Moon are still solidly in second place, and the games in the Top 10 seem to largely be the same as always.

Third place goes to Dragon Quest 11‘sPS4 version, with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the 3DS version of Dragon Quest 11, and Nioh coming in next in that order. Resident Evil 7 and Yakuza 6 are #7 and #8, while Kingdom Hearts 3, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s Wii U version round out the Top 10.

The Japanese gaming market has seen some signs of life of late, what with the launches of the Nintendo 2DS, PS4 Slim, and Persona 5– hopefully, Final Fantasy 15 and Pokemon Sun/Moon, both due out in November, help continue that resurgence.
