In its most recent financial earnings call, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot offered an update on Ghost Recon Wildlands, the next big open world shooter from Ubisoft Paris (and various other internal studios). Open and closed betas were also teased at for the next quarter, presumably following The Division with a closed beta in January and open beta in February 2017.

Guillemot noted that, “Its potential beyond its potential beyond its traditional audience will be very important. We recently conducted a technical test with tens of thousand of players. It went well, and the game is on track for release next March. Wildlands will tap into a Tom Clancy community of more than twenty million registered users who have engaged with Rainbow Six Siege or The Division in the last eleven months.”

He also revealed that feedback for the game was good. “The feedback we got on Ghost Recon is excellent. What we see is that it can be a revolutionary game. To compare with The Division last year, it’s in the same trend, actually. We expect next quarter to do some open beta and closed beta that will help the players to know what the game is, and we’re very confident it will excite gamers a lot.”

Ghost Recon Wildlands arrives on March 7th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
