Xbox One S

Yesterday, Microsoft released the Holiday update for the Xbox One and during that release, it detailed what the update included but there were a couple of details that were not talked about nearly enough.

While it wasn’t talked about, it was mentioned in the full patch notes that the company has been working on improving performance of the console. In particular, loading apps and downloading games will be faster.

In the notes, the company lays out what they’ve done to make the Xbox One run smoother. “We’ve been doing a lot of work to speed up your Xbox. From navigation and opening apps to download times and Cortana’s responsiveness, the whole experience is getting smoother and faster.”

The update has landed just a few weeks before the Xbox One S launches in Japan for the first time. It’s certainly got to be a positive that Japanese users get the benefit of the update right from the get go.
