Why is it called Blue Harvest though?

Marvel announced a partnership with Telltale Games to produce a series of video games set in the former’s universe. Though an Avengers game was confirmed, it seems that we’ll also be getting Guardians of the Galaxy – The Video Game in 2017.

The recent SAG-AFTRA strike has caused several different contracts for upcoming video games titles to be revealed. CBM noted that Guardians of the Galaxy – The Video Game was one of them.

It was given the nickname “Blue Harvest” which is the production name given to Return of the Jedi in order to throw off fans. We’re not sure why that’s associated with Guardians of the Galaxy.

A Marvel executive also apparently noted how the video game will be “sexy” and “authentic”. We don’t know what that means but if it’s faithful to the film, it can only be good, right?
