Pokemon Sun/Moon, the seventh entry in the long running Pokemon series, are almost here- the games represent the biggest leap forward and the biggest breath of fresh air the series has had in a while. A change this dramatic for an established franchise would either have gone down well, or gone down very poorly indeed.
But if early reviews are any indication, it seems like Nintendo have a winner on their hands here. Reviews are universally positive, calling the 30 hour adventure the best game in the Pokemon series yet, praising the change from tradition, the graphics, and the quality of life improvements brought about by the new game.
Given these reviews, as well as the fact that this is the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, and there is a lot of excitement in the air for these games – evidenced by pre-orders – I think we can be reasonably sure that the games will sell millions.
