Nintendo have confirmed that they will be giving fans a new look at their highly anticipated upcoming open world action adventure game, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, at The Game Awards on December 1. Intriguingly enough, they call this an ‘exclusive look’ at the game, implying that what they are showing might be different than the first area of the game, which they have shown off in almost excruciating detail by this point.

The version being shown off is also unlikely to be the Nintendo Switch version of the game, given that the Switch will be having its own event in January, on January 12, and that Zelda‘s Switch port is likely to be saved for then. But even if Nintendo show off the Wii U version, it is likely to be impressive- do remember, the game’s incredible E3 showing was all from the Wii U version of the game, too.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will launch on Wii U and Nintendo Switch in 2017.
