In the midst of skill-based matchmaking concerns, lack of content, balance issues and whatnot, Bungie’s Destiny will be undergoing maintenance at 8 AM PST today. As per the developer’s official Twitter, server maintenance is expected to finish around 2 PM PST.
Such extensive maintenance periods are usually for the deployment of patches and/or fixes but Bungie announces the bigger patches in advance. This could also be in preparation for the Sparrow Racing League or SRL event which is expected to be revealed at Sony’s PlayStation Experience in Anaheim, California. Hopefully there will be less desirable items hidden behind a paywall this time around unlike the much-maligned Festival of the Lost.
