Mass Effect Andromeda Day One Patch Still Being Worked Upon, Should Be Done By EA/Origin Access Launch

What does going gold even mean anymore.

Posted By | On 27th, Feb. 2017

Mass Effect Andromeda is due out next month, and the game finally went gold recently- but the developers aren’t done with the game just yet. Not by a long shot. Speaking on Twitter, Ian S Frazier, Lead Designer for Mass Effect Andromeda, confirmed that the team is now hard at work on the game’s day one patch, which he hopes will be available by the time the game launches on EA Access and Origin Access- five days before its wider launch.

Michael Gamble, his fellow developer at Bioware, did intervene at this point, noting that while this is what Bioware hopes to achieve, this is just the plan for now, and not 100% guaranteed- so this is not something that Bioware is making a commitment to just yet.

Nonetheless, the studio is good at meeting deadlines, so I wouldn’t be too worried if I were you. Mass Effect Andromeda will be available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
