Ghost Recon Wildlands Betas Had Over 6.8 Million Players

"Biggest beta phase" for Ubisoft yet.

Ubisoft’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands had a closed and open beta in February and despite a mixed reaction to the overall mechanics, they attracted quite a lot of participation.

The publisher announced that over 6.8 million players collectively took part in the betas, setting a new record for “biggest beta phase”. The previous record was held by Tom Clancy’s The Division at 6.4 million players.

A cumulative total of 2 billion minutes were spent in the betas and over 60 percent of participants played the game cooperatively. Ubisoft said, “With each beta, players were able to provide valuable feedback to the development team to help deliver the best experience at launch.”

Those who participated in the beta will receive exclusive access to the Unidad Conspiracy, three missions taking place in the Media Luna region and which will be available shortly after Wildlands releases. You’ll need to purchase and play the game by March 31st to claim the missions though.

Ghost Recon: Wildlands is out on March 7th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
