Prey is neither a remake nor a sequel, but a reimagining.
The new Prey will not mirror its predecessor. Nor is it a sequel. Instead it is a sort of reboot, a reimagining of what the game might have been like, had the devs had access to modern gameplay technology. Prey will be thematically similar to the original, featuring powerful aliens, semi-magical abilities, and a puzzle component. Fans of the original who aren’t looking for a straight re-master will likely find the new game well worth the wait.
