Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia New Trailer Showcases Its Opening Cutscene

The upcoming Nintendo 3DS exclusive Fire Emblem game – Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia – just received a brand new trailer, that showcases its opening cutscene in all of its glory. The cutscene sets up the story of the game, if that is something that you are curious about.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, which until now had not received a western release. The new remake will be using the same engine that Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates used- but it also does away with a lot of modern additions to the series made by those games, such as Support conversations and Pair-Ups. It’s instead an old school Fire Emblem game through and through (though it will at least be keeping the Casual Mode).

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia launches on Nintendo 3DS exclusively on May 19 (it launched in Japan today). Make sure to check out the new trailer below.
