Madden NFL 18 Trailer Introduces Longshot Mode

EA Sports’ newest iteration of Madden will have its own story mode, following FIFA 17’s “The Journey” mode. The story in Madden NFL 18, referred to as “Longshot”, will follow Devin (played by Moonlight actor Mahershala Ali). as he works his way up through the ranks of American football.

The story mode showcases the strongest characteristics of DICE’s Frostbite Engine, with solid lighting and excellent texture work. The overall animations are also realistic and if anything, Longshot actually looks more dramatic than FIFA 17’s The Journey. Then again, FIFA 18’s The Journey could one-up it. The night is still young.

Madden NFL 18 is out on August 25th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. What are your thoughts on the game and Longshot mode, especially since this is the first game to utilize the Frostbite Engine?
