Ace Combat 7 Receives First Campaign Gameplay Footage

The drones of Erusea emerge in a tense mission.

Team Aces’ Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown is still a ways off from release but we’ve finally received our first look at the game’s campaign. Earlier, Bandai Namco and Team Aces only showcased gameplay from the VR mode.

The gameplay footage is from “Two Pronged Strategy”, the third mission of the game where the player lands on the Vulture, one of two aircraft carriers remaining after an assault by Erusea on Osea.

After landing on the Vulture, the protagonist will set off for Chopinburg to carve a path for squadrons. They’ll unfortunately have to deal with the Arsenal Birds, squadrons with MQ-101 drones, after Erusea took control of the Space Elevator. Check out the footage for yourself to see how things pan out.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will support PlayStation VR but it will also release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2018. What are your thoughts on the campaign footage? Let us know in the comments below.
