Mass Effect Andromeda Still Won’t Receive Story DLC Despite Bioware’s Vague Statements – Report

What an undignified fate for a once great franchise.

Posted By | On 30th, Jun. 2017

Mass Effect Andromeda was, sadly, a bit of a mess. It’s not actually a bad game at all- the problem is that you have to work your way through so much inane nonsense to get to that that most people don’t even bother (and who can blame them?)

Unfortunately, it looks like the rumors regarding the immediate future of the franchise may be true, too. While the Facebook post that we reported on yesterday appears to have been a hoax, it looks like it hit close to home- Kotaku’s Jason Schreier is reporting that in spite of Bioware’s insistence to the contrary, the game will indeed not be getting any single player DLC. In fact, most of Bioware Montreal has since been reassigned to other projects, and the few who remain are just there to push out basic updates and multiplayer content.

This is a damn shame. All we can hope for is that at some point in the future, EA and Bioware maybe look into returning to Mass Effect with a new game, and restoring it to its once held glory.
