Spider-Man PS4 Shot Fools Variety Into Thinking It’s Actually From The Movie

Which honestly is a surprisingly easy mistake to make.

Insomniac’s upcoming Spider-Man for the PS4 looks great- in fact, it apparently looks so great that film and media outlet Variety – which, mind you, covers movies as a matter of business – was fooled into thinking that a screenshot from it is from the upcoming Spider-Man Homecoming, the new Spider-Man movie that Sony and Marvel are collaborating on.

Honestly, and especially at a glance, the difference can be really hard to tell (owing to games looking better and better these days – and Spider-Man is a hell of a looker even considering how great games in general look – and movies using more and more CG these days). Variety can’t be blamed for the gaffe- still, this is flattery of the highest order for Insomniac Games, that’s for certain!

Spider-Man will be launching exclusively for the PlayStation 4 early next year. Make sure to stay tuned to GamingBolt for all the latest and greatest coverage and information from the game.
