Studio Wildcard’s Ark: Survival Wildcard will still be seeing its full launch in August but after a few weeks later than intended. The developer announced that the online survival sandbox title’s PC and console launch will be on August 29th instead of August 8th.
The process of going gold seems to have taken “a little longer than expected” as per the developer. As a result, both the base game and Ragnarok DLC will be launching on August 29th. The studio noted that, “This extended time will allow further development of the map and you guys can expect a gigantic update, even bigger than we initially thought.”
So you can look forward to the overworld will be even bigger. Studio Wildcard noted that it would be “approximately one quarter, which is near-enough a ‘TheIsland-sized’ expansion.” There will also be new engrams, a new boss, new biomes and a Wyvern canyon along with some kind of secret that the team for Ragnarok is working on.
It will also be possible to bring custom creates from Ragnarok to various other regions with the CrossARK system. Players can look forward to other fixes such as improved performance across platforms as well.
