Call of Duty: WW2 Private Multiplayer Beta Includes Three Maps, War Mode

Five Divisions available to choose from along with three other modes.

Sledgehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WW2 will see its first private multiplayer beta taking place this month for those who pre-ordered the first person shooter. It will go live on August 25th for PS4 first and run through the weekend before beginning again on September 1st for PS4 and Xbox One.

The developer has confirmed that three maps – Du Hoc, Ardennes and Gibraltar – will be available throughout the beta along with Team Deathmatch, Domination and Hardpoint. Players will also get a chance to try out the new War mode which sees one side attacking an objective and the other side defending.

Breakout will be the operation available in the beta and players can also try out the new Divisions system. Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armoured and Mountain Division will be available to join though progress will be gated and not all skills, scorestreaks and weapons will be available.

More information about the beta will take place at Gamescom 2017 at Cologne on August 22nd, 10 AM PT. Call of Duty: WW2 releases on November 3rd for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
