Knack 2 Gets New Cinematic Trailer Ahead Of Release

I still don't know why this game is a thing.

The original Knack was a terrible game, but its existence became such a meme that it willed a sequel into being by sheer effort of will. Yes, Knack 2 is real, and it is almost here- it launches in a couple of weeks, which means Sony is now throwing out the obligatory trailers to market the damn thing.

In their defense, they seem to be aware of the absurdity of the game, because the new cinematic trailer for the game (yes, it is a cinematic trailer) seems to be a bit tongue in cheek. It is certainly very lighthearted. Given how a lot of Sony games tend to devolve into brooding, serious business, it’s good to see them push for some humor every now and then.

You can check out the cinematic trailer for yourself below. Knack 2 launches exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on September 5, with Europe getting it just a day later on September 6.
