Destiny 2 Level Cap Will Be 20, More Details Confirmed

Plus, Power Level stat also explained.

Destiny 2 launches at last tomorrow- and ahead of its release, we are receiving more and more information about what to expect form Bungie’s follow up to their flawed, but immensely popular, shared world shooter.

For instance, the max character level for your Guardian has been confirmed to be 20 yet again. 20 was originally the level cap in the first Destiny too, though it was subsequently increased multiple times over the course of many expansions. The Power Level stat, which is like a composite average of your attack and defense stats, has also been explained- apparently it has a hard level cap of 300, though there is a soft level cap of 260, after which you only gain points by completing Weekly Milestones.

So, it sounds like there will be multiple progression paths for your characters in the game again- which one you choose to focus on is ultimately up to you entirely. Destiny 2 will be available on PS4 and Xbox One, with a PC release coming next week.
