Destiny 2 New Video Shows Off The Lost Sectors Functionality

Finally, some rewards for exploration.

Destiny 2

Destiny 2 will reward players for going off the beaten trail with The Lost Sectors, hidden areas of the map that can only be accessed with careful exploration, and which hide loads of great rewards (as well as lethal enemies, too).

This actually addresses one of the primary complaints that players had about the original game, in that everything felt too limited, and there was no scope to set out of the bounds Bungie had set for the game and explore the universe- especially jarring in an era when everything was moving towards open worlds.

To show off what The Lost Sectors are, and how they work, Bungie have released a brand new video for the game today, which you can see for yourself below- showing us the kinds of enemies we will fight within them, the loot we can gain, and of course, the special rewards we can get by clearing them.

Destiny 2 launches on the PS4 and Xbox One tomorrow, with a PC release following next month.
