Image & Form Games’ SteamWorld Dig 2 finally has a release date for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. It will arrive on September 21st for the Switch while the PS4 and PlayStation Vita versions will be out on September 26th in North America and September 27th in Europe for $20. Cross-buy will be supported on Sony’s platforms.

More information along with a new trailer and screenshots was released on the PlayStation Blog and we get a look at the new protagonist, new map and new upgrades. The protagonist is Dorothy as she embarks on a journey full of treasure and other challenges. You’ll start off with a pickaxe but find various tools like the Jet Engine to fly around and the Hookshot for grappling onto spots.

The overall larger map will offer some 10 hours of gameplay and perhaps even more if you try to find everything. Overall, with the unique art-style and catchy musical score, SteamWorld Dig 2 could be a must-have title for fans of the universe.
