Xbox One X Is Absolutely The Most Beautiful Version of Assassin’s Creed Origins – Ubisoft

"It has been a pleasure working on Scorpio."

Assassin’s Creed Origins has of course been one of the most notable games to be supporting the Xbox One X and its enhanced capabilities ever since the console was revealed back at E3. It seems like Ubisoft have been really impressed with the system, and that that has allowed them to enhance the experience of Origins in notable ways.

Speaking recently with We Write Things, the game director Ashraf Ismail had his say on the Xbox One X, and made the lofty claim that the One X version of the upcoming Origins is the most beautiful, visually speaking. Ismail cited things such as RAM and having more tools to play with, and confirmed that while the experience will be all around the same no matter what system you are playing Assassin’s Creed Origins on, the Xbox One X version will definitely be the most beautiful.

“It has been a pleasure working on Scorpio,” Ismail said. “It has been quite easy to have our game running at a really high fidelity very quickly. With Xbox One X, the game is beautiful. Kudos to our artists, engineers and technical directors, the game looks absolutely stunning. I think with Xbox One X, its the most beautiful version we have because it’s rendering at a high resolution. We have more RAM to play with. There’s a lot more tools at our disposal to showcase our creative work.”

“The experience of the game is the same across all of the different platforms,” he continued. “We try to make sure the game shines on every platform the best it can. Having said that, the Xbox One X version is absolutely the most beautiful version.”

That’s interesting, though you have to wonder how it’s going to be able to stand up to, say, a PC version of the game that is running on ultra high, maxed out settings. As far as consoles go, though, it definitely looks like the Xbox One X version of the game might turn out to be the definitive one.

Assassins Creed Origins launches on October 27 for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more coverage on the game.
