Microsoft Admits Creators Update For Windows 10 Introduced Stuttering In Games; Promises New Insider Build Addresses Issue

Right in time for the upcoming Fall Creators Update, too.

There have been many who have claimed over the last few months that Microsoft’s last major update for Windows 10, the Creator’s Update which launched in Spring earlier this year, introduced performance issues for games on the OS, causing stuttering and slowdowns.

Now, Support Engineer Paul Aaron has confirmed that the update did indeed cause stuttering in some cases- however, he has also confirmed that the newest build for the OS, 16273 (which is currently available to Insiders) should address this problem, also inviting feedback just in case it does not.

This is right in time, too, as the Fall Creators Update for Windows 10 is right around the corner- and with Microsoft promising still more improvements and enhancements for gaming performance on Windows 10 with that one (including an enhanced Game Mode), it would be kind of a bad look for them if their existing promises hadn’t yet been fulfilled to begin with.
