Monolith Soft’s Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is out this week, bringing the wide open world of Xenoblade to the Nintendo Switch for the first time. The story follows a scavenger Rex as he discovers Pyra, a Blade who acts as his weapon. Together, Rex and Pyra venture forth to find Elysium, a paradise for humanity. Of course, if you want to see even more, then the recent story trailer will hook you up. There are some pretty big spoilers so be warned.
In Xenoblade Chronicles 2, players will be able to use numerous different Blades as they traverse a world situated on the back of a Titan. You’ll meet other companions, build stronger bonds with your blades to unlock deadlier maneuvers and ultimately explore the immense world before you.
If it’s anything like the previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, then Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be absolutely massive in size and scale. It releases on December 1st for the Nintendo Switch.
