As Final Fantasy XV gears up to celebrate its first year, and the release of all the main cast’s additional episodes, Square Enix hopes you’ll hop back in to crack open some cold monsters with the boys with the First Anniversary Update.

During an Active Time Report broadcast in Tokyo, game director Hajime Tabata and marketing manager Akio Otsuka detailed the future of the game with a few other developers from the team. Comrades’ Director Kazuya Takahashi first revealed that the first major patch will come to that expansion on December 12th, aimed at squashing many of the bugs that riddle it. They also revealed new content in the form of Time Limited Quests where you’ll be randomly partnered with other players to hunt down a certain number of enemies.

Following on from that, new details of Episode Ignis were shared. Players can expect Episode Ignis to take roughly two hours on the high end for one play through, but multiple endings could bring that to over three.

The “First Anniversary Update” will allow players to swap the party member they’re playing as. The update will hit sometime in December. Players can also expect more content over the next year, including three new episodes to enjoy (including Episode Ardyn). Gamingbolt will be sure to have those details as they come.
