Call of Duty: WW2 Update 1.06 Is Out Now on Consoles

Maybe this fixes the terrible server strain the game has been suffering from.

Activision and Sledgehammer Games have released the newest update, update 1.06, for Call of Duty: WW2. The update is actually fairly small, at just under 400MB, and it reworks the UI in the multiplayer portions of the game, while also reportedly changing the HQ mode, so that it is not automatically persistent, but needs to be actually activated and visited.

That is a major change to how the mode works, but is probably a move made to reduce server strain for the game, which has been a terrible problem since the game launched, and something that both Activision and Sledgehammer have received some flak for.

As of right now, the update doesn’t seem to be confirmed for PC, though it should be coming soon (and I hope it does, since the PC version is arguably the worst affected by these problems). Call of Duty: WW2 is out now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
