Capcom Looking At Putting More of its Games on Nintendo Switch

Including games that were previously never available on Nintendo hardware.

One of the most amusing things about the Nintendo Switch’s success has been seeing third parties go from being cool on it to scrambling to get their games out on the system. Take Capcom, for instance. After being heavy supporters of Nintendo hardware in the past, on the Switch they were conspicuous by their absence.

And yet, the overperformance of their games on the system, such as Ultra Street Fighter II, as well as the continued success of the Switch itself, has clearly made them rethink their stance, as they have begun to announce multiple games to hit Nintendo’s hybrid in the last few weeks. Mega Man 11, Mega Man X Collection, Mega Man Legacy Collection, and Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection are just some of their games that are coming to the Switch.

But Capcom now wants more of its games on the system. In an interview with Nikkei, Capcom CEO Tsujimoto said (via Serkan Toto) that the Switch concept works far better than expected, and Capcom wants to bring more of its games over to the Switch- including games that previously were never sold on Nintendo hardware.

So, folks, time to drum up the anticipation- Dragon’s Dogma? Monster Hunter World? The world is your oyster!
