Bethesda Softworks’ VR version of Fallout 4 is finally available, bringing the Commonwealth’s Wasteland to virtual reality for the very first time. It’s available for HTC Vive users only via Steam so those who own Oculus Rift or PlayStation VR are out of luck (for now at least).
Fallout 4 VR has been hyped on the simple premise that this isn’t a simple portion of the game that’s available but rather the full experience. Players can walk around, engage in gun fights, build settlements, take up side quests and interact with NPCs as they could in the base game. We’re not sure if the DLC is included though so keep that in mind before picking it up.
DOOM VFR, a VR version of id Software’s critically acclaimed DOOM, is also available for VR headsets worldwide. It supports both HTC Vive and PlayStation VR but also seems to be encountering its fair share of mixed reviews. Check it out here on Steam.
