The World Ends With You: Final Remix Coming Exclusively To Nintendo Switch Later This Year

Long suffering fans have been waiting for this for over a decade, but it looks like Square Enix’s cult classic Nintendo DS RPG The World Ends With You is getting an update- this morning in the Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo announced that Square’s game would be coming to the Nintendo Switch later this year, with a brand new control scheme to boot.

That makes sense, since the original game was heavily designed around the Nintendo DS hardware. Apart from updated controls, the game will also come with remastered HD graphics, and a brand new epilogue that adds further details to the original game’s beloved story.

As of right now, we have no specific date for when to expect this game- we know it’s coming later this year, and it is presumably in the first half of the year, since the Direct was meant to focus on the Switch’s immediate upcoming lineup.
