Halo: The Master Chief Collection Xbox One X Patch Development Seems to be Coming Along Well

Plus a whole lot of other updates too.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection launched in 2014; it was meant to be a celebration of the Halo franchise, and instead turned into a nightmare, with the product shipping broken, and basic functionality not working as intended. 343 Industries tried to resolve as many of the issues as they could, but over time, the updates stopped, and it seemed as though they had given up.

Until last year, when they announced that they were working on a series of extensive updates for the game that would get it functioning as intended, as well as for Xbox One X visual enhancements. Now, an update on the progress of these developments has been posted by 343 Industries– it’s really quite long, and you should go check out all of it if you are a Halo fan, but for our readers, the news here is probably the Xbox One X enhancements patch status update.

343 Industries’ post mentions that development is coming along well on the update, and that the team is excited about the increased possibilities that the Xbox One X represents, with Jeremy Cook, Art Director on the project, specifically adding, “We look forward to higher fidelity and making use of the increased capabilities and opportunities that affords us. This will better enable clarity and screen economy in handling the vast amount of information we need to get across to the player.”

So that’s that- hopefully, this update will end up being worth it. I can imagine Halo fans being really happy with it if it is. Halo: The Master Chief Collection is available now, exclusively on the Xbox One.
