Spider-Man Will Use PS4 Pro’s Power To Its Fullest, Says Insomniac

Spider-Man is one of Sony’s biggest releases this year, along with God of War and Detroit: Become Human, and thankfully enough, we’ve been getting plenty of solid, concrete information on the Insomniac developed title lately. Insomniac recently took to their official Twitter account to speak briefly about the game’s PS4 Pro version (among other things), and while they didn’t give a lot of specific details, they did mention some interesting stuff.

Insomniac has mentioned that Spider-Man will use “the increased power of PS4 Pro to its fullest”. Interestingly enough, though, the game will be capped at a frame-rate of 30 frames per second on both the PS4 and the PS4 Pro, rather than being at a higher 60 FPS on the latter, which is something that was done “for a combination of the best performance and fidelity.” They also spoke a bit about the game’s install size, mentioning that file size would be big- though they didn’t give any specifics as to how big “big” might be.

Insomniac also briefly discussed the in-game web-swinging, which is, for obvious reasons, one of the things that everyone seems to be talking about the most. Apparently, Spider-Man won’t feature multiple swinging modes for players to choose from, since the current mechanics “have a pretty great implementation that’s easy to pick up but leaves tons of room for mastery”.

Spider-Man launches for the PS4 on September 7. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for continued coverage on the game.
