2K Sack PR Firm After Duke Nukem Review Response

Posted By | On 16th, Jun. 2011

PR Firm ‘The Redner Group’ have been dropped by 2K games following the firm’s response to criticism of Duke Nukem Forever. Following some negative press, The Redner founder Jim Redner posted on Twitter, “Too many went too far with their reviews…we are reviewing who gets games next time and who doesn’t based on today’s venom,” which suggest blacklisting reviewers who gave negative scores to Duke Nukem Forever. Redner continued: “Bad scores are fine. Venom filled reviews…that’s completely different.” He then deleted both posts claiming he “acted out of pure emotion.” In response 2k posted this message via twitter: “2K Games does not endorse or condone the comments made by TheRednerGroup and confirm they no longer represent our products. We maintain a mutually respectful relationship with the press and will continue to do so. We don’t condone @TheRednerGroup’s actions at all. ”
