Shadow of the tomb raider leaked

Within the recently revealed Shadow of the Tomb Raider, we already know that Lara will be spending a lot of time within the deep jungles and ruins of South America, trying to solve the mysteries of the Mayans. But a new interview with two of the developers reveals that there will be more diverse geography to explore.

The video interview with GameReactor featured Arne Oehme and Vincent Monnier, the Eidos Montreal Level Design Director and Gameplay Director respectively. While Mexico does indeed play a large part in the game, the common jungle setting will be matched at least by the network of underwater caves that weave their way through the region.

“We have many varied locations. One location you’ll see is Mexico, but there are many more that you will discover and as usual in our games, we use layers of history. We have multiple historical layers in our content in which Lara will discover hints and puzzle pieces that will assemble through storylines,” Arne added.

No other specific environments were called out, but the jungle is expected to be a multilayered, organic area that empowers Lara, and by extension the player, to cut their own way through. You can check out the full interview at the link, and stay tuned to Gamingbolt for more information on Shadow of the Tomb Raider as it comes ahead of the September 14 launch date for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
